Get clear on the problem, then build.
I bring 15+ years in product and technology here to learn out loud. CMM Labs is where I work a problem, show my thinking and build something to solve it. Sometimes that’s a writeup — lab-style; sometimes a working tool.
I offer consulting to round out the name. I take on product and advisory work for individuals or small/mid-sized businesses.

About
Mandy Miller
For years, I’ve wanted to do more with my ideas than describe them. I wanted to make something people could try. AI has given that quiet, persistent itch an outlet.
My early experiments included asking an LLM to write product requirements. They were impressively useless. Nearly a year later, I’m researching, prototyping, and building as a daily practice. There’s a particular delight in wondering “what if?” and following the thought all the way to something that works. Or something pretty crappy that teaches me what to try next.
Often, I start with something that annoys me in my own life. I dig into the problem, work out what might help, and build a prototype. Usually over an entire weekend because I can’t stop thinking about it.
I bring 15 years in product management to these experiments. I’ve run discovery, owned roadmaps, led launches, and shipped things that mattered to people. All of that comes with me. I still want to understand the problem first, question my assumptions, and put ideas to the test. Making something is satisfying. Finding out it’s genuinely useful is better.
This site is where I share what I’m making and figuring out, including the awkward bits. I bring experience and judgment to the work, but building software gives me plenty of opportunities to be a beginner.
Product is my first love. Building things and gaining AI fluency along the way is an extension of that. And it makes my secret builder’s heart squeal with delight.
I also bring that combination of product judgment, hands-on AI practice, and curiosity to consulting work. If you’re trying to untangle a product problem, figure out where AI could genuinely help, or test an idea before committing to a build, I’d love to work through it with you.
